The fashion and beauty industry is incredibly shallow. People always watching how you look, what you do, and how you do it. So, when you think nobody is looking, assume everybody is looking.
First and foremost, if you want to be a working model in any industry, your social media pages must be readily available to view. On Facebook, all of your images need to be unlocked to see. Your Instagram profile needs to be unlocked! How would you expect anyone to know what you look like or if they'd want to hire you if they can even see into your life a little bit?!
Now, once you have your social media profiles open, there should be some consistency in what you post and what you are as a model. People who are looking to hire like to see the way you carry yourself. So, videos with you cursing somebody else out or images that are conducive to your image might not work the best for you.
Keeping your skin clear is a part of the process. It's all part of the persona of a model. It is absolutely necessary to have a smooth and clear skin as possible, even going to the extent of showing your skin regimen on social media. These things are positive to your overall image!
Hopefully this helps to shine a little light on how models are perceived in the industry. Do believe that your persona has everything to do with wether or not you get hired!
